The Department of Inorganic Technology (DIT) represents the workplace with long tradition in the education of young specialist for the preparation and production of inorganic substances. Besides the education, the department has a long term experience in research activities. The group of technical electrochemistry, which is the part of DIT, deals with the application of electrochemistry in energy conversion processes and in environmental protection focusing mainly on the water treatment issues. Inseparable part of the research activities represents mathematical modelling as a powerful tool for the process understanding and optimisation on a local scale.
